Hi dear ones,
Today’s reflection is for anyone who’s felt stretched thin, emotionally tired, or quietly overwhelmed. If your thoughts have felt heavy, I hope this brings comfort.
I’ve been walking through Calm Moments for Anxious Days by Max Lucado—paired with his book Tame Your Thoughts. Together, they’ve become part of my healing rhythm: quiet mornings, tea rituals, and journal pages filled with grace.
In Day 2, Max reminds us that God is near, even when anxiety says otherwise. Chapter 9 of Tame Your Thoughts—“When You Feel Overwhelmed”—echoes this truth:
“God doesn’t wait for us to be calm before He comes close. He draws near in the middle of the mess.”
That reminder softened something in me. I don’t have to hold it all together. I don’t have to be strong. I just have to call out—and God answers with presence, not pressure.
Here’s a peek into my journal:
– 🛡️ “You’re on your own.” → I paused.
Is this true? No.
I replaced it with: “I’m supported. I’m not alone. Help is near.”
– 👽 UFO: “I have to carry everything myself.” → I named it and released it.
I reminded myself: “God is near. I can ask for help.”
– 🌱 Old belief: “I’m too much to support.” → I uprooted it.
I replanted: “I am worthy of care. God draws near to me.”
Each shift felt like a breath of grace.
