The Holy Work I Didnโ€™t Schedule

    Dear Friend,

I thought I was going to write about patience today. Instead, God handed me a two-year-old, a cold cup of coffee, and a family emergency I couldnโ€™t fix.

My granddaughter is with me because her other Grandma is very ill, and her mom needs to be there.

The morning I planned quickly became a morning of snacks, toys, sippy cups, and quiet worry underneath it all. Galatians 6:9 reminded me that doing what is right often looks ordinary.

Sometimes faith is not fixing the hard thing. Sometimes it is making the room safe, holding the child in front of you, and trusting God with the rest.

    ๐ŸŒพ Reaping with Joy

    Hi Friend,

Have you ever felt like you were sowing in silenceโ€”showing up in faith, but wondering when the harvest would come?

This weekโ€™s devotional, Reaping with Joy, is all about that moment when mourning turns into movement and joy becomes your spiritual wardrobe.

Iโ€™m sharing a personal story of emotional healing, a fresh Scripture focus from Psalm 30:11 (NRSV), and a reflection that might just speak to your season.

    Hereโ€™s a glimpse:
โ€œI laughedโ€”not because everything was fixed, but because I felt free.โ€
If youโ€™ve been waiting for your joy to rise, this oneโ€™s for you.

    Your harvest is holy.

  • The Lord Is with Me

    Hi dear ones,

Today’s reflection is for anyone whoโ€™s felt stretched thin, emotionally tired, or quietly overwhelmed. If your thoughts have felt heavy, I hope this brings comfort.

Iโ€™ve been walking through Calm Moments for Anxious Days by Max Lucadoโ€”paired with his book Tame Your Thoughts. Together, theyโ€™ve become part of my healing rhythm: quiet mornings, tea rituals, and journal pages filled with grace.

In Day 2, Max reminds us that God is near, even when anxiety says otherwise. Chapter 9 of Tame Your Thoughtsโ€”โ€œWhen You Feel Overwhelmedโ€โ€”echoes this truth:

โ€œGod doesnโ€™t wait for us to be calm before He comes close. He draws near in the middle of the mess.โ€

That reminder softened something in me. I donโ€™t have to hold it all together. I donโ€™t have to be strong. I just have to call outโ€”and God answers with presence, not pressure.

Hereโ€™s a peek into my journal:
    – ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ โ€œYouโ€™re on your own.โ€ โ†’ I paused.
    Is this true? No.
I replaced it with: โ€œIโ€™m supported. Iโ€™m not alone. Help is near.โ€
    – ๐Ÿ‘ฝ UFO: โ€œI have to carry everything myself.โ€ โ†’ I named it and released it.
I reminded myself: โ€œGod is near. I can ask for help.โ€
    – ๐ŸŒฑ Old belief: โ€œIโ€™m too much to support.โ€ โ†’ I uprooted it.
I replanted: โ€œI am worthy of care. God draws near to me.โ€
Each shift felt like a breath of grace.
