When the world misnames you, God calls you His.

a woman standing in a sunlit field at sunset, surrounded by misty hills and golden light—evoking divine identity, quiet strength, and renewal.

🌿 My Gentle Reflection

“But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us… raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
—Ephesians 2:4–7 NRSV

I’ve been called a lot of things like too sensitive, too slow, too much, too little, or not enough

Some of those words stuck. They shaped how I move in this world. Careful, quiet, or afraid to take up space. These words stuck to mee like dust on furniture.

But grace whispers something different.

Max Lucado writes:

“As grace infiltrates, criticism disintegrates.”

That’s what happened.
Grace didn’t just comfort me. It redefined me.

I’m not who the world says I am. I’m not the sum of my mistakes
or the echo of someone else’s judgment.I’m not even the good labels like
clever, efficient, successful.

I’m more than that. I’m spiritually alive. Connected to the father, I have a position in Heaven.

That’s who I am. That’s who you are.
Grace defines us.

So next time the desert winds blow, reminding you of yesterday’s failures
or today’s insecurities, reach for God’s goblet of grace, and drink deep.

And remember:
You are His.

✨ My Scripture of Hope

“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.”
—Isaiah 43:1 NRSV

🕊️ My Anxious Thoughts to Release

  • I’m defined by my past
  • I’m not enough
  • I’ll never be who I’m supposed to be

🌸 God’s Promise to Me

  • I am not who the world says I am
  • I am who God says I am
  • I am His I am seated with Him in heavenly places
  • I am a living testimony of grace

🙏 My Prayer

God,
I’ve worn labels that weren’t mine.
I’ve let the world name me.
But You call me beloved.
You call me Yours.
Help me release every false name.
Help me receive Your truth.
Let grace define me, fully, freely, forever.
Amen

🧠 Gentle Tools for Reclaiming My Name

When I feel stuck, I use these three tools to help me pause, listen, and trust God’s guidance.

1. 🛡️ Practice Picky Thinking

The world called me “too much.”
I paused.
Is this true? No—God calls me beloved.
Is this kind? No—it shames me.
Is this from God? No—He speaks grace.
I replaced it with: “I am His. I am enough.”
That shift felt like shedding an old skin

2. 👽 Identify UFOs (Unhelpful, False, Overgeneralized thoughts)

• Unhelpful: “I’ll never be who I’m supposed to be.”
• False: “I’m defined by my past.”
• Overgeneralized: “I always mess things up.”
I named it a UFO and gently released it.
I reminded myself: “God defines me by grace, not by history.”
That shift felt like being seen

3. 🌱 Uproot and Replant

Old belief: “I have to earn my worth.”
I paused and chose to uproot it.
Is this true? No—God’s love is unearned.
Is this kind? No—it exhausts me.
Is this from God? No—He offers rest.
I replanted truth: “I am already chosen. I am already His.”
That shift felt like being held

📚 Gentle Insight: Defined by Grace

Max Lucado reminds us that grace doesn’t just comfort—it redefines.
He writes:

“You know you aren’t who they say you are. You are who God says you are.”

That truth changed how I speak to myself. I don’t have to earn my worth or prove my value. I just have to receive grace.
