  1. Hi Tracey! I just wanted to send you a little message from the Netherlands. 😊

My daughter got married on September 2, and afterwards I felt so strangely empty. It had been such a beautiful, beautiful day, and then suddenly it was all over. A few days later I went searching online for something about those post-wedding blues, and I found your post.

It was exactly what I needed to read. ❤️ I especially loved the part about the beautiful day being over, but the blessing not being over. I translated and adapted a small part of that section into Dutch for a post on my own blog, and of course I linked back to your original post.

I just wanted you to know how much your words meant to me.

    1. Hi Aritha,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me from the Netherlands. ❤️ Your message truly touched my heart.

Congratulations to you and your daughter on her wedding! I can understand how, after such a beautiful and long-awaited day, everything suddenly being over could leave you feeling a little empty. There is so much emotion, preparation, anticipation, and joy leading up to a wedding—and then, almost in an instant, the celebration is finished.

I’m so grateful that you found my post when you were searching for something to help put those feelings into words. Knowing that it brought you comfort means so much to me. And I’m especially glad that the reminder that the beautiful day may be over, but the blessing is not over spoke to your heart. What a beautiful truth to carry into this next season.

Thank you as well for translating and adapting a small part of the post into Dutch and for linking back to the original. I’m honoured that you wanted to share those words with your readers.

I visited the title of your post, Koffie en bruidsjurk, and I love the connection between coffee and the wedding dress—it sounds like such a lovely reflection on this tender season. ☕❤️

May God continue to bless your daughter and her husband, and may He fill your heart with peace and joy as you watch this new chapter unfold in their lives.

      With warmest blessings from Canada,
      Tracey
