I Don’t Want to Become So Good at Surviving That I Forget to Celebrate
After difficult seasons, sometimes we become better at surviving than celebrating.
The wedding at Cana reminds me that Christ meets us in our joy too.

Have you ever felt like slowing down meant falling behind? I did too—until God began showing me that faithfulness isn’t measured by exhaustion.
Today’s devotional explores the freedom that comes from trusting His pace instead of our own.

Hi friend
I thought the seating chart was finished.
The final file had already been sent to Staples, and I was ready to move on to painting the rustic window for my son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding. Then a text from her changed everything. A few guests had been missed. Others still hadn’t confirmed. Suddenly, a project I thought was complete was sitting right back on my dining room table.
This week’s devotional reflects on uncertainty, unfinished plans, and the challenge of waiting when there is nothing left to do but trust God. If you’ve ever struggled with unanswered questions, changing plans, or a season that refuses to resolve itself on your timeline, this reflection is for you.
Hi friend,
Today’s devotional comes from an early morning when I woke up feeling heavy and worn down. I curled up on the living room couch with a cup of coffee I never finished, listening to the house settle around me. In that quiet, a verse surfaced — his mercies… new every morning.
I didn’t feel new, but the words stayed with me. As the sky slowly brightened, something in me softened too. Not dramatically, but enough to breathe a little easier.
If you’re in a season where hope feels slow, I hope this reflection reminds you that God’s mercies still find us, even in small ways.
With love,
Tracey
Hi friend,
I used to believe strength meant handling everything on my own.
The harder life became, the harder I pushed. I worked longer, worried more, and carried responsibilities that were never mine to carry alone.
One morning, I opened my laptop to write a devotional, but my mind was already racing through unfinished conversations, unanswered messages, and problems I kept trying to solve on my own.
Then I read Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:16 that we would be “strengthened in our inner being.”
It was the reminder I needed: true strength doesn’t come from striving harder. It comes from letting God meet us in the middle of what feels too heavy to carry.
In today’s devotional, I’m sharing what changed when I stopped trying to hold everything together and started trusting God with the burdens I was never meant to bear alone.
I pray it encourages you to take a breath, release what you cannot control, and rest in God’s presence today.
With grace,
Tracey Brown
Hi friend,
Today’s devotional is a reminder that Jesus came to give you abundant life. Not survival. Not emotional scraps. Real abundance.
If you feel God inviting you to expand or raise your standards, this reflection will meet you with clarity, hope, and gentle encouragement.
With grace,
Tracey
Hi friend,
Today’s devotional is a tender reminder that rest is not a pause in your life but the place where God prepares you for what comes next.
If you feel weary or uncertain, this reflection will meet you with comfort, clarity, and hope.
With grace,
Tracey
The Sacred Work of Returning to Yourself This week unfolded like a quiet unraveling. Each devotional peeled back a layer of performance, expectation, and the ache to be understood. Not with force. Not with shame. But with the kind of gentleness that only comes from God’s presence. I was not asked to be impressive. I…
You don’t have to be still to be spiritual. You don’t have to be linear to be loved.
Starting September 29, this devotional honors the sacredness of neurodivergent minds—through gentle reflections, fresh scripture, and grace that meets you where you are.
