2 Timothy 3:14—4:5
At Community of Christ, we walk together in faith, seeking to embody Christ’s mission of peace, reconciliation, and healing. Each week, we pause to reflect on scripture that deepens our spiritual practice and calls us into courageous discipleship.
📖 2 Timothy 3:14—4:5
‘But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it” (3:14)
“As for you, be sober in everything, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully.” (4:5)
This week’s passage is a sacred invitation to remain rooted and resilient. Paul urges Timothy to continue in what he has learned, to trust the scriptures that have shaped him since childhood, and to preach the Word with patience and clarity.
💗 These verses remind us that scripture is not just a book—it is a living guide, equipping us for every good work. In a world of shifting truths and itching ears, Paul’s words offer grounding: stay steady, speak truth, endure hardship, and fulfill your ministry.
🕊️ For those feeling weary or uncertain, this passage is a balm. Paul doesn’t promise ease; he promises purpose. He names resistance, but also the power of persistence. The Spirit within us equips us to speak life even when it’s inconvenient, even when it’s costly.
🌸 Reflection Prompt:
What truth have you been entrusted with that needs your voice this week?
Where is God inviting you to be persistent in love, even when it’s hard?
Whether you’re teaching, healing, parenting, creating, or simply showing up, your witness matters, you are part of a holy lineage of truth-bearers. Keep going.
