2 Timothy 1:1–14
This week, we’re drawn into a deeply personal letter Paul writes to Timothy with tenderness, urgency, and unwavering faith. Though imprisoned, Paul’s spirit is unbound. He reminds Timothy (and us) that the gift of God within us is not meant to flicker, it’s meant to be rekindled.
“Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…” (v.6)
💗 This passage honors spiritual inheritance. Timothy’s faith was first nurtured by his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice a lineage of love and belief. Paul doesn’t dismiss Timothy’s fear; he meets it with truth: “God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” (v.7)
🕊️ These words are a healing balm for anyone feeling weary, uncertain, or small in their calling. They remind us that courage is not the absence of fear—it’s the presence of grace.
🌸 Reflection Prompt:
What sacred gift in you needs rekindling this week?
Whose faith has shaped your own?
Let’s honor the quiet legacies and bold stirrings. Let’s speak life into each other’s callings.
