When Perseverance Means Honouring the Limits I Didn’t Choose
Sometimes perseverance means taking another step. Sometimes it means resting long enough to take the next one. Hebrews 12 helps us rethink endurance, limits and following Jesus.

Dear friend,
By Day 3 with my two-year-old granddaughter, the visit was still sweet, but it was also early mornings, tired eyes, toddler moods, and small bruises on the back of my arm from the way she calms herself.
She is not trying to hurt me. Her little fingers find my arm because it helps her feel safe while her mom is with her very ill mother. Psalm 46:10 met me in that ordinary, honest place.
Stillness did not look like silence today. It looked like breathing before reacting, gently redirecting tiny hands, telling God I was tired, and learning that I can love deeply without disappearing.

Hi friend,
Today’s devotional comes from an early morning when I woke up feeling heavy and worn down. I curled up on the living room couch with a cup of coffee I never finished, listening to the house settle around me. In that quiet, a verse surfaced — his mercies… new every morning.
I didn’t feel new, but the words stayed with me. As the sky slowly brightened, something in me softened too. Not dramatically, but enough to breathe a little easier.
If you’re in a season where hope feels slow, I hope this reflection reminds you that God’s mercies still find us, even in small ways.
With love,
Tracey
