π Arcana: When God Is Quiet and I Still Believe
Not all silence is distance. Some of it is divine.

π Scripture for the Hidden Places
Isaiah 45:3 βI will give you the treasures of darkness and riches hidden in secret placesβ¦β
Psalm 131:2 βI have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its motherβ¦β
Deuteronomy 29:29 βThe secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to usβ¦β
πͺ Devotional Reflection: Finding God in the Stillness
There are days I mistake silence for abandonment. I pray, and the heavens feel sealed shut. I worship, and I wonder if anyone hears. I look for answers, but all I find is fog.
Yet Scripture reminds me: some treasures are only found in the dark. Sometimes, God hides not because weβre being punishedβbut because Heβs preparing us to perceive.
There is revelation in restraint. Wisdom in waiting.
Jesus Himself often withdrew to quiet places. And in Gethsemaneβs silence, the loudest love was offered.
Iβm learning to trust the quiet seasonsβnot as punishment, but as protection. God is still speaking. Just not always in ways I expect.
π Personal Reflection: My Own Arcana Moments
Iβve begged God to clarify things He keeps cloaked. And instead of thunder, He offers me the soft rustle of a leaf, the nudge to keep going even without clarity.
I used to think faith meant certainty. Now I seeβit means fidelity in uncertainty.
There are chapters in my story I donβt understand yet. But I keep turning the page.
Because even hidden truth has heartbeat. And even silent seasons speak of love.
βοΈ Journaling Prompts for Sacred Curiosity
Settle into stillness and reflect honestly with these:
- What is God not answering right now, and how does that make me feel?
- Is there a βquiet chapterβ in my story that needs gentler interpretation?
- Finish this sentence: βI donβt have all the answers, but I trust God toβ¦β
- What truth might be unfolding slowlyβlike dawn, not lightning?
- Where do I feel most distant from God, and what might He be teaching there?
π€ Call to Connection: Letβs Share the Quiet Faith
You donβt need to pretend your faith is flawless. You donβt need a big testimony to be brave. Your storyβuncertainty, silence, tenderness and allβis welcome here.
ποΈ Whether it’s one sentence or a whole journal, I invite you to share:
- In the comments
- Through a direct message
- Or by using the hashtag #ArcanaMoments so we can gather sacred silence together
Your still belief is sacred. And your voice matters, even when whispered.
π Closing Prayer: A Whisper of Belief
God of mystery and mercy, Sometimes I long for clarity, but You offer quiet. Sometimes I beg for answers, but You offer presence.
Help me recognize Your nearness in the slow places. I want to trust what I cannot yet explain.
Let the hidden things become holy things. Let silence make me soft, not bitter.
I donβt need every answer today. Just enough peace to believe while I wait.
And may my quiet faith echo louder than my doubt. Amen.
