Stillness With Tiny Fingers
Dear friend,
By Day 3 with my two-year-old granddaughter, the visit was still sweet, but it was also early mornings, tired eyes, toddler moods, and small bruises on the back of my arm from the way she calms herself.
She is not trying to hurt me. Her little fingers find my arm because it helps her feel safe while her mom is with her very ill mother. Psalm 46:10 met me in that ordinary, honest place.
Stillness did not look like silence today. It looked like breathing before reacting, gently redirecting tiny hands, telling God I was tired, and learning that I can love deeply without disappearing.
With Love and Grace
Tracey
