đź“– Scripture Focus

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

Today, this verse feels especially tender. I just returned from the funeral of an old neighbor and friend—a soul who had quietly shaped a community. Their passing stirred something deep in me: a reminder that healing is not just about mending wounds, but also about honoring the spaces left behind.

🌅 Daily Devotional: Grief as a Sacred Companion

Grief walks beside us like a shadow—sometimes silent, sometimes loud. It doesn’t ask permission. It simply arrives. But in Christ, grief is not a void. It’s a vessel. A place where love once lived and still echoes.

As I sat among many faces today, I felt the weight of shared memories, laughter, and the ache of final goodbyes. And yet, I also felt Christ’s presence—gentle, steady, whispering, “I am here.”

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means remembering with grace.

đź’¬ Personal Reflections: Healing from Community

My neighbor wasn’t flashy or loud, but he was faithful. Faithful in kindness, in showing up, in waving from the porch. His life was lived to the fullest, not just as a business man but also a husband, a father, a grandfather and friend to many. And today, as we celebrated that life, I realized how much healing comes from community—from gathering, grieving, and giving thanks.

I left the service with a renewed desire to live intentionally. To love well. To walk the heart path with open hands.
