🌿 The Abundance God Makes Room For
✨ Learning to Welcome the Life God Is Expanding Within You
📖 SCRIPTURE (NRSV)
John 10:10
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

🌱 DEVOTIONAL REFLECTION
“Abundance” is one of the most misunderstood words in the Christian life. We often think of it as something external. Something measurable. Something that shows up in our circumstances. But Jesus speaks of abundance as something deeper. Something internal. Something that begins in the heart long before it appears anywhere else.
Abundance is not about excess.
It is about expansion.
It is about God making room inside you for more life, more joy, more clarity, more courage, and more truth.
Sometimes abundance begins with a quiet shift.
A moment when you realize you can no longer live at the level you once tolerated.
A moment when God gently invites you to raise the standards of what you accept, what you allow, and what you believe you deserve.
Jesus says He came so that you may have life.
Not survival.
Not emotional scraps.
Not spiritual exhaustion.
Life.
Life that fills you.
Life that nourishes you.
Life that grows you from the inside out.
Abundance is not something you chase.
It is something you align with.
It is something you make space for.
It is something you step into when you trust that God wants more for you than the bare minimum.
When you raise the bar on what you allow into your life, you are not being demanding.
You are honoring the work God is doing within you.
You are making room for joy.
You are making room for peace.
You are making room for the abundance Jesus promised.
This is not about perfection.
It is about permission.
Permission to grow.
Permission to heal.
Permission to expect goodness because God is good.
Abundance begins with a yes.
A yes to God’s invitation.
A yes to your own worth.
A yes to the life Jesus came to give you.
💬 PERSONAL REFLECTIONS
A time in my life when I realized I had been living on emotional leftovers. I was giving everyone else the best of me and saving nothing for myself. I kept telling myself I was fine, but deep down I knew I was shrinking to fit places that no longer matched who I was becoming.
One morning, I felt a gentle nudge in my spirit. Just a quiet awareness that said, “You cannot keep living like this.” It felt like God was inviting me to raise the bar on how I cared for myself, how I allowed others to treat me, and how I honored the life He placed inside me.
At first, it felt uncomfortable.
Change often does.
But as I leaned into that invitation, I began noticing small shifts.
I felt more peace.
I felt more clarity.
I felt more grounded in who I was and who God was shaping me to be.
I started saying no to things that drained me.
I started saying yes to things that nourished me.
I started trusting that God wanted more for me than survival.
And slowly, I felt abundance rising inside me.
Not in material ways.
But in the way my heart felt fuller.
In the way my mind felt clearer.
In the way my spirit felt more alive.
I realized that abundance is not something God withholds.
It is something we grow into.
Something we make room for.
Something we step into when we trust that Jesus meant what He said.
That moment became a turning point.
A quiet ceremony of the heart.
A place where I chose to believe that the life God wanted for me was bigger, kinder, and more spacious than the life I had been settling for.
And I have been rising into that abundance ever since.
