✨When Feelings Speak Loudly—But God Speaks Louder
🖋️ Welcome
In our healing journey with Christ, our feelings can sometimes feel overwhelming. Emotions like fear, joy, confusion, anger, and even peace can flood us—and we wonder, “Can I trust what I feel?”
The Bible reminds us that feelings are real, but not always reliable. God has given us a better way—His wisdom.
📖 Reflect
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Sometimes, what I feel pulls me away from God’s peace and presence. But other times, it draws me into deeper honesty and surrender. The key is not ignoring our feelings—but learning to filter them through faith.
📝 Journaling Prompt
Take some time today to sit with this question:
- What recent experience stirred your emotions deeply?
- How did you respond?
- Looking back, were you led more by your feelings or by God’s wisdom?
- How can you invite the Holy Spirit to help you discern truth next time?
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me trust You above all.
I thank You for giving me a heart that feels deeply. But I ask for Your wisdom to guide me.
Let my emotions be shaped by Your Spirit and not by fear or confusion.
Speak louder than my feelings, and make Your will clear.
Amen.
