Week 4 Day 6: The Resistance
When Speaking Feels Risky but Healing Demands It

š Scripture Focus
āMoses said to the Lord, āPardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent⦠I am slow of speech and tongue.āā ā Exodus 4:10
⨠Devotional Commentary
Even Moses resisted his voice. He didnāt feel qualified, articulate, or confident. And yet, God chose himānot for his eloquence, but for his willingness. Resistance is part of the process. It shows us where fear still lives. But it also reveals where courage is being called forth.
Reclaiming your voice doesnāt mean youāll always feel ready. It means you trust God enough to speak anyway. Even if your words stumble. Even if your voice shakes. Because healing isnāt about perfectionāitās about presence.
š Personal Reflection
Iāve resisted my voice more times than I can count. Iāve told God, āIām not ready,ā āIām not good enough,ā āSomeone else could say it better.ā But every time Iāve whispered those doubts, Heās whispered back, āI chose you.ā
Thereās a vulnerability in speaking truth. It exposes us. It risks misunderstanding. But it also opens doorsāto connection, to healing, to purpose. Iām learning that resistance isnāt a sign to stopāitās a signal to lean in. Because the very place I feel most afraid to speak is often the place God wants to use my voice most.
